Origins of Joy is a celebration of life in motion — a visual meditation on emotion, growth, and the quiet beauty found in reflection.
This original painting unfolds through layered colour, sweeping curves, and textured mark-making that feels both spontaneous and intentional. Rich blues, warm oranges, reds, and magenta tones interweave with floral and abstract forms, creating a sense of rhythm and harmony. The composition invites the viewer to pause, explore, and return — revealing new details with each encounter.
Inspired by themes of calm, joy, depth, and reflection, this piece reflects the emotional landscapes we carry within us. There is a spiritual softness to the movement, balanced by bold colour and expressive energy — making it a powerful yet grounding presence within a space.
Created using acrylic on canvas with mixed media, the surface is richly textured, adding depth and tactility that can only be fully appreciated in person. The artwork is finished with care to preserve colour vibrancy and surface detail, ensuring longevity and impact.
Origins of Joy works beautifully as:
A statement piece in a living room or open-plan space
A calming focal point in a bedroom or studio
A meaningful addition to a curated art collection
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, not a print or reproduction. It is ideal for collectors and art lovers seeking work that carries emotional and spiritual resonance alongside contemporary abstraction.
Created by Kawsar Ahmed, BBC “Home Is Where The Art Is” Winner, this painting reflects a multidisciplinary practice rooted in expression, texture, and soulful storytelling. Owning this piece is an invitation to live with art that evolves with you.
